Shapeshifters, first introduced in FIFA 20, is a promotion centered around position changes and statistic boosts for players. Position changes was once a FUT Birthday theme, but EA Sports decided to make it its own promotion in FIFA 20. The event was absent from FIFA 21, but is returning this year after Team of the Season as the first event of the summer season. Something fans weren’t necessarily expecting, but one that should serve as a buffer for bigger events like FUTTIES and potentially Summer Heat.
