Cacturne was first introduced in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire as the evolution of Cacnea. While this Grass/Dark-type has many resistances, it also has many weaknesses. It’s seen as a valuable glass cannon with a diverse moveset, which makes it worthwhile for any trainer to investigate. In Pokemon GO, Cacturne continues to follow this formula, becoming a good Pokemon for trainers who are just starting out. Both it and it’s pre-evolution Pokemon are easily found in the wild, making candy acquisition easy. A Cacnea simply needs 50 candy to evolve.
